to replace just the mirror, any idea how much damage i'm looking at?
when i first got the car 2 months ago, i realized there was a little split on the bottom of passenger side mirror.. i didn't think much of it since it was not very noticeable, but now it spread to the top, basically broken mirror split in half..
now, i got this car as CPO and wondering if it will be reasonable to ask for replacement at no cost...
Exterior: EXE Konkave 20" wheels l DRL LED mod l Luminics JDM 2500K Yellow fogs l Flowmaster Double Walled Rolled tips l Painted brake calipers w/ Lexus name & logo
Interior: LED bulbs entire cabin l Tint 35% windows & 5% windshield strip
i searched and found out this is not an unusual problem, pass side mirror splitting in vertical half. i'm just looking for a glass part, not the whole assembly.. i will try the dealer for warranty when my free oil change is due.. if not, go with the cheapest alternative.
lexuspartsonline lists the right mirror glass at $274.40 (left is 299.29). Yes, this is the glass only. The glass is the most expensive part of the mirror assembly. The plastic shell is only like $66.
