LS430 -2004 Certified Front 2 parking sensors
My front two sensors went bad and I hear the constant beeping I took it to the dealer and he ask me to leave the car. Now he just called and told me that 2 of the sensors are damadge? I never hit the car so must be stone or something got hit over the sensors. Anyways he said this is not covered under the CPO Warranty and now he is asking me to pay $150 diagnostic
any advice?
Thanks

Those sensors are pricey. $530 installed from the dealer each was my quote. One of mine went bad and the dealer finally relented and replaced it for me, however, I'm still under the extended CPO for my 2004.
The sensors do get broken from pebbles or rocks being kicked up. Sometimes it looks brand new but you may notice a micro ding right on it. Strange you have 2 going out??
Notice there are two sizes for the front sensors. The center two are slightly larger than the side ones. Also, two parts numbers.

You are luck as my dealer is refuse to replace these sensors. This car was Lexus Certified pre own and have warranty for 100 K miles and I am only at 80K now. Do you think I should try other dealer?

The closest dealer said you're out of luck as that's a wear and tear damage.
I then went back to the dealer where I bought my car. The service advisor looked at it and didn't even see a ding on the sensor. I told them I've read that its been known they go bad on its own and should be covered under my CPO. He agreed. They even gave me a new GS350 as a loaner for 3 days while they order and install the part so I don't have to drive back and forth to the dealer which was 30 miles away. Said just return the car with enough gas so they can fill it up at the station so I ran it almost dry
