Default Changing navigation Disks on 2003 LS430

I bought the 8.1 gen 2 navigation disk from Lexus but do not know how to eject the old disk. The reader has a slide that says open and I slid it to the right to expose the opening where you load a disk but I do not see any 'eject' button anywhere on the unit.
When I slide the slide to the right to expose the disk opening is it supposed to automatically eject the old disk, because it doesn't on my unit.
I actually removed the unit from its holder (but kept the cables connected) so that I could inspect the unit for a eject button but no eject button to be seen.

Update:
Yes there is an eject button. After sliding the slide to open the door to load a disk, the button is on the far left just under the slide. I did not see it at first because its a black button on a black background.
The eject button did not work because the disk was stuck, My son, who works as an installer for car audio/visual equipment was able to grab the disk with a curved pick and pulled it out while the eject motor was attempting to eject the stuck disk. He scratched the old disk (generation 2.1) getting it out but I did not care because I had the 8.1 disk. The 8.1 loaded successfully ?8remember to turn the ket to ignition, BUT DONT START THE ENGINE.
I now have 8.1 nav disk working.
