I am with you, either brand name top of the line 3 pieces 20s or stock 18s, either go all the way, or just stay stock

I am really loving my stock 18s on spacers.

My front spacers will be here tomorrow!!

I love my new stock wheels preference, it is so much cheaper and easier! Buying expensive top of the line rare baller wheels is a pain!

yeah this is where i'm at in life, or with my ls right now.. can you possibly show me a pic of the stocks before spacers and after spacers. i didn't figure it would make that much difference but now i'm really interested in seeing it. good luck man hope they look nice.

I thought you got some big aftermarket wheels already?

Yeah spacers make a HUGE difference to the stance of the car, I'll try to get you some before and after pics, hopefully this weekend.

sojah,

Look at pics of my car in this thread, the front is stock and rear got a 25mm spacers on them, you can already tell the difference with and without spacers:

i used to have a 20x10 (deep dish) 3 piece chrome lowenhart set of rims, like 6k + on my last gs but i sold them before i got the LS. i am ridin' on the stock 17 6 spoke with some super cushy 55 series dunlops.

i am really digin' those pics of rear with spacer on stock wheel, here is your spacer pic again:

now i have a couple questions. with these spacers could i drop it to L without hitting the inside wheel well or will the fender need to be rolled with stock 17's (235 tire i believe, if my memory is correct) and these spacers when dropped on L front & back? did you ever get to test this out before you ripped out your air susp?? also how much for all 4 spacers and how does the installation work exactly?

So what offset should we be running on the LS to not give it the sunk in look?

Interesting....I have an exact set (LD5) sitting in the garage waiting forever to be installed-more like delaying

I just love the cushy ride of the 18"s with 50 series since I do transport stuff frequently in the trunk and take my daughter to school.

depending on the wheel width and tire size, but on average, I believe something that is roughly at least 35+ or lower without having to shave the fenders.

It won't hit the inside wheel well for sure, there is like 6 inches of room in there. It will be close to the fender, but no rolling needed. My 18s with 245 tires is rubbing just a hair, so your 17s with 225 should clear.

No.

A pair of spacers runs about $130 or so, the hub centric ring is about $40 for the pair.

You bolt the spacer onto the hub of the car, then you bolt the wheel onto the pressed in studs on the spacers.

i thought thats how it installed but in that pic there are only 4 studs and only 4 holes too. is this just a different pattern in the pic (wrong pic)?? are you talking about the little black plastic hub rings?? i got 4 for like 12$ a while back...

That pic was just an example of the Kics spacers I got, not the exact actual one, sorry to confused you. Imagine the same thing with 5 holes and 5 studs.

Kics sells their own hub centric rings that fit their spacers:

sweet... i've been looking for some small things that i can do to this ls without changing it to drastically, like i did with my gs somewheres along the way... spacers (front & rear w/hub rings for her pleasure) & the led turn signal mirrors i imagine would give it a nice look. i just hope the led turn signal mirrors isn't to much ice... also i've been thinking about that SS kit that lowers the car an extra inch without messing with the air suspension at all. but this is a little pricey for a 1" drop.
