Everything is ordered and everything is in stock in Los Angeles! So I should have all the parts in a few days

I love owning a Japanese car in Southern California, everything is in stock in LA!!

LOL, I'd actually seriously put the "Sport" decal on the side just because it is a conversion that you will have done on a UL.

Good luck on this Jeff, sounds like you are underway.

can you please post the parts and part #'s. Are you converting everything with oem stuff or will you be using aftermarket springs/shocks? Just to ask a newbie question on this topic? What all has to be converted on an UL to make the spring/shock combo work? Also on the regular LS, and sport LS, are just the shocks diff? Or is it both the shock and spring? Thanks A lot

I am undecided, I usually don't like to add any sticker/emblem to my cars, but I don't mind having an OEM emblem on the car that I actually have the equipment of. I'll see how I feel once I get everything done.

I am using OEM sport shocks and aftermarket Tanabe NF210 lowering springs.

Nothing needs to be done really, all mechanical parts are interchangable, everything bolt up to the same location using the same hardwares. The biggest question to me before was how to disable the air suspension computer to avoid an error message showing up on the dash. The answer is, just pull the fuse on the air compressor to disable that, and no warning message is a result of that.

The OEM sport suspension consist of:

Firmer shocks
Stiffer springs
Bigger rear sway bars with bigger bushings
Firmer bushings on the upper A-arms front and rear

I got all the parts in, here are all the Lexus part's # you need to do the conversion:

Front:

Sport shock: 48510-80131
Strut top (comes with rubber insulator and bump stop): 48680-50110
Big top washer: 48680-22050

Rear:

Sport shock: 48530-80141
rubber insulator for the spring: 48258-50020
Big rubber insulator: 48257-50020
Bump stop: 48341-50070
Strut top: 48755-50100
Big top washer: 48755-50110

I got the Tanabe NF210 lowering springs, Tanabe part # TNF088

Total shipped to my door:

All Lexus parts: $1330

NF210: $215

So doing the conversion on the entire car is cheaper then replacing one air strut at the dealer

FYI, you do not have to remove the rear shelf, assuming the air shocks mount the same way as the standard shocks. Just pop out the 2 little plastic rivet thingees near the center of the rear shelf and lift the front of the shelf enough that you can get your hands in there. I propped mine up with a large diameter flashlight laying on its side, which doubled as a light source to see wtf I was doing in there.
