Anyone Buy An Ultra Lately?
#16
I don't think there was any physical change on the LS from '04 to '06, except some color changes, so why spend more on a low mile '06 when you can buy one in perfectly good condition with 40K for an '04? I ended up getting an '04 CL instead of a '05 same trim and saved over $4K. These things last forever (if you want to keep them forever) and an extra 10K is not going to make or break the thing.

Is 50,000 Miles Too Much?
Is 50k miles too many?
I know...depends. But if taken care of and serviced, should be fine eh?
I'm looking at one [Ultra] for 24k on a private, 1 owner deal, all the service records, no body work or touch ups. Oh yeah, 2005.
Is there a service scheduled at 50k? Want to make sure it is done is all.
Thanks

The only thing i had to keep in mind when looking at a UL with like 55k miles on it was how much do i drive,,, i figured it out and crunched the numbers adding how much i drive in a year to the cars mileage already and after like 2 years it wouldn't even be worth what i would owe on it so for me since i drive a lot i had to pick one with much lower mileage to make it work in the long run.
if you don't drive much it should be an issue but if you drive a lot i wouldn't do it.

FYI ,,, regarding your wondering about the market for UL's. Last Dec 2008 I bought a 2006 UL blk/ecru w/o Pre-collision 36K 1-owner off lease for a no-haggle price of $33,900 in Atlanta. Thought it was a great deal considering it is one of only 101 UL's produced that year. By the way ... I drove a non UL and noticed different ride characteristics than the UL so bought a UL. Absolutely love the air-suspension ride and all the gadgets.

I purchased a 2004 UL with 70K miles last night from the Lexus dealership for $23K out the door. The car is in great condition and I was told it was owned by an old man who kept all the services up to date. It's Brairwood Pearl/Ecro, I really love the color combo tho, probably cause I haven't seen any others like it.
On another note...I've been reading here for the past couple of weeks during my whole decision process and I can say the info in this forum has helped me alot. I figured I would join since I finally made the purchase. I came really close to buying an Audi A8 but im glad i didnt.

Could that old man have been from Pasadena??
Sounds like a nice choice and that it fires your rockets. Good luck with it and don't forget to post some snaps.

Thanks for the info on that, I'm looking at an '06 and haggled to about 32, 000 but thought it was still too high, maybe it isn't? maybe time to pull the trigger?

23.5k on the clock. I had a friend in Seattle go look at it, he said buy it. He looked everywhere and found nothing to complain about. He is a car nut too, goes to the auction every Wednesday there and sees a lot of cars. California car all it's life. PCS as well.

Hope you bought it, else you let a good one get away... Better deal than I got on mine in the Midwest. My wife thinks I got a great car, so that is what makes it a real bargain. LOL No pics yet.

We just got our 06 UL around December... It has all the toys, laser and radar cruise stuff. Not sure about park assist, or at least I haven't tried to find it. $28.5k from a broker in Atlanta area. Midnight blue with the light beige interior. We wanted the black cherry red (same color as our motorcycles) but nowhere to be found.
