Default Whats up LS guys, got a question

Hey fellas, I ventured over here from 2gs land because i've been looking for something for my dad (01 LS430) but couldn't find a good answer by searching.

is there any way to have the 'i agree' screen never appear? I was pretty sure the answer was no but i figured i'd ask the experts, as my 2gs does not have navigation.

thanks in advance fellas!

As far as I know, there is no way to make "I Agreed" disappear. Lexus make it for legal reasons.

yeah that's what i figured. I know there's a legal restriction in the US that you have to go through that screen before you can use the features. kind of ridiculous considering nobody ever reads it haha. i just thought there might be a way to reverse it or bypass it. I've seen the nav bypass thing but it's too much of a pain in the *** to enter in every time you get in the car, probably better for long trips i suppose.

Well I purchased the Vais Technology for the LS and it automatically presses the button for you every time you turn on the car.

Same here with my Coastal Tech's Lockpick. It presses the "I Agree" automatically

Coastaltech lockpick works very well. Costs around $200 and is easy to install. Plus it gives you a video and audio input to watch DVD's on the nav screen and allows overides to set destination and dial phone calls while driving..

How does it play videos? Do you have to unscrew the dvd player in the trunk to do that? Every time?

Thanks,
David

The Coastaltech has a set of RCA inputs, which you can then use a portable DVD player, an Ipod, etc to play your video. To activate, just press the voice command button on your steering wheel, say " DVD " and it switches to video input mode. What the lockpick does is mimic the LX's DVD mode. Very clean an simple, no added switches, etc.
