Default DataSystem Controller ASC680 Questions and Answers

I'll start the thread off w/ this question, GATO and I were having a discusion about the Data Controller for the UL Lexus LS430. If we leave the car slammed on "L" mode parked. For hours will that affect anything?

Also I noticed on the Data controller there are 2 UCF31 options how do you know which one is which? for the correct cars. Is one for the 01-03 and the other for the 04-06?

I rolled on 9 and always dumpt to L when I parked. I would leave my car dumpt on L in the garage overnight, even for the week when Id go out of town on business. I drove like this for about 6 months, never had any problems. Then it went into the shop, and got some real air suspension.

What air suspension are you running on? And how does the ride compare to the factory air suspension? Is it possibly smoother?

I chose the reverse "C" for my 04 and it seems to work perfect. Not sure what other character says. I had a friend translate the wording after UCF31 and its comes back as "Celsior" which would be correct.

Pros:
Faster lift/dump
More flexability in ride height
Not prone to blow like OEM struts

Cons:
Ride is decent, but it's no UL suspension
Requires a little work to maintane
Costly

Overall the reason why I switch was becauce I wanted it to dump and raise faster. At first I had modified my UL struts to accept aftermaket air management ( tank, compressors, lines, fittings, controller). The driverside rear blew after 2 days of installing ( long story it was at the body shop ). I then decided to go UAS with KYB sport struts. Besides the ride comfort, I <3 UAS.

If I remember correct, the first one says After M/C Minor change, so it is 04 +
The second one is before Minor change, 01-03

BINGO... If my OEM bags go (which I hope they don't )) , I'm definitely going UAS.

ASC680 controller is working for all LS430 (01-06).
Complete overview at http://www.datasystem.co.jp/catalog/pdf/asc.pdf
I understand there is two different harnesses, but my question is on the screen of the ASC680 there are (2) UCF31's to choose from. Which one is which? Will it matter between the 01-03 and the 04-06?

I chose the one with the reveresed C and works well...

Ok to clarify it here in this thread:

First UCF30 [01-03] - uses harness H-087D
Second UCF30 [04-06] (Reverse C on the display) - uses harness H-087E
