blacksc400,

How come your 04' UL don't have that square laser sensor on the lower bumper?

interesting, i thought for UL there is a glass piece over the L badge on the grille to protect the laser cruise control unit at the back

The sensor you are referring to is the radar sensor for the PCS, which if he has it, the L on the center of the grill would be behind a plastic cover.

Since he doesn't have a plastic cover, his laser sensor should be on the lower bumper, indicated by a big plastic square hole, but he doesn't have that either

I know for sure his car is an Ultra since he got factory air suspension, so I am confused

This has always been a very confusing subject.

From my observations, the glass piece over the L badge only comes with UL with the PCS option. And having the PCS means the cruise control uses a radar sensor to judge the forward distance.

Now not all UL have the PCS option, not having the PCS option means the cruise contol uses a laser sensor. And not having PCS means no glass piece.

Most 04' don't have the PCS option, PCS was a REALLY rare option in 04'. Which is why I am not surprise his 04' don't have the glass piece. What confused me was, for all the UL that don't have the glass piece, means they have the laser sensor on the lower bumper grill, but his car don't have that either

Hehe, Jeff,
My 01 UL has the square hole for the laser, but this 04 has the laser sensor on the same location, but behind the lower grill. I was curious about it when I buying my car over the internet, but when I get the car, I saw the sensor is behind it, and there is no grill openning for it.
my mine 04 is UL.
