I have an 04 with smartaccess. I have 2 master keys. One works fine. However the other may be faulty. It does not lock, unlock, and is not recognized by the smartaccess system. It can only be used to start the car. I changed the battery already. I also noticed it blinks red a lot. Can anyone tell me what I have to do? Is it possible to reprogram the key?

sounds like the key that doesnt open the doors is a key for another car that was attemped to reprogramed for your car.once a key has been programed for a car it cannot be reprogramed again.you can only program the key to start the car if it is installed in the ignition.you will have to buy a new key(smart key) and have a locksmith program and cut the key.do not order a key from ebay as you will be in the same boat with the ebay key.
