keep in mind I said 40 series, not 35 series.

depends on what brand of tires, but I would say its going to rub

The Rear tire will clear with tons of space left... Probabaly good 16mm from fender inner edge and no issues...

The front tire will rub slightly if the car is low and steering turns and strokes at the same time. (Like when turning into steep driveways) but for the most part, should be OK if the drop is mild.

mikemareen, i have 19x9 +38 w/ 255 40 19 tires and it's not rubbing at all before I drop the car. You should be fine......
