Default Just got a new 2004 LS430. Wheel opinions.

Hey Guys.

I've been on this forum for a while with a 1993 LS400. Just picked up a 2004 LS430 Ultra Lux. Absolutely love the car. Probably the best car I've ever had actually. Black with Saddle interior. 62k miles.

I had a set of 20" Forgiato Disegno wheels and tires laying around that I decided to bolt-on. What do you think?

I think they look pretty 'cool'. And I'm not one for changing out the wheels but I could go for those.

Wow, you had these just "laying" around What else you got laying around

Looks pretty good, don't see much of that fins style wheels on Lexus so I like. I don't like wheels everyone else has. Also a nice tint on your car.

All kinds of stuff.... Hehe I have a wheel / tire shop, these are just from my inventory. I'm not too crazy about the ride quality with low profile tires, even though it doesn't ride as bad as one would expect. My other car has a coilover suspension and that's a rough ride

How do these cars ride when you have 20" wheels AND lowered 1-1.5"?

You car looks great. I have to agree with seize, it would look even better if you dropped it a little

There is additional road noise and you can feel the difference in ride stiffness. I didn't feel any difference lowered vs not using the rod adjustment method. You should try doing that too as you have the Ultra and it take literally a couple of minutes to do the lowering. Just be aware as others have mention that adjusting one corner affects the opposite so there is a little bit of back and forth adjustments. Also remember to wait for the air compressors to kick in which takes about a minute or so to get the final result.

I'm actually going to sell these 20s. I have my stock 18" Sport wheels on the car as of this morning and my stock 17s are in storage.
