u must leave urs on while you drive, i turn mine on..only when i need to use it, but im having the same issue...basically a rock or something must have put a small lil dent in it..and it indicates it all the time on just that one side...so u can get that one replaced...which is expensive at the dealership. Its like $250 for just the one sensor..i left it alone..it doesn't bother me when I use it..i'm just careful on that side....so...hope that helps

I had the same problem with a 2004 LS 430. The dealer said it was corrosion in the sensor and replaced it under warranty. The car had 40,000 miles and 3 rough Chicago winters.

My left front is indicating something as well. I've cleaned it up, but it will still indicate something 80% of the time where there is no obstruction.

I leave mine off now.

you maybe to close to the car in front, if not the pedistrian crossing by yur sensor. sometimes my sensors go off when pedestrians walk in front to close.

your sensor needs to be programed for distance. you can do this through yur NAV screen. i forgot which screen, but i ran into it when i was "scrolling" through the option/menu.

try this first, its lot cheaper than getting it replaced.
hope that helps. (((BEEP)))

My left front sensor went bad & I had it replaced at the dealer under warranty. They said it would have cost $512.00 if I would of had to pay for it. They said most of the front ones get replace due to getting hit by rocks.

Yeah my left front one does it as well. I agree with the others, it probably got hit as mine took a hit from a rock falling off a truck. They cost about $180 if you purchase online, and thy're not to hard to change. But then again, I'm a mechanical person so ignore that statement.

I have the same issue today. Topshottaz, do you have a writeup on removing the skin? or generally, is it hard to do?

Thanks.

Mine do the same thing. Lexus of San Antonio couldn't find anything wrong though. When it goes off I simply pull up a few inches and it stops. Strange though.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get a smart key, keyless entry fob for a 2004 LS 430?

There are two different part numbers for the sensor in front. The ones next to the license plate are slightly larger in diameter, about 1/4"

Part numbers for the two sizes are:

89341-50011-C0 $257.10
89341-50050-C0 $257.10

Prices are from the dealer, listing these as: Sensor, Ultras.

They told me my one damaged sensor was due to a rock hitting it or someone bumped into my bumper which was very common so they say, so it was not covered under my warranty. I'm thinking for their quoted cost of $512 ($257.10 part, and $254.85 labor) to get it fixed was ridiculous. They should of made those sensors a little bit tougher. There is no physical scratch, paint loss or dent on my bumper at all.

So, anyone else know if removing the skin is tough to do?

Thanks.. Sewell quoted me just shy of $500 to replace my left front corner sensor. No signs of damage on it either.
