Traded mine in last August, on a 2014 Hyundai EQUUS. It had 345K - 350K miles, all original drive-train.

04' LS430 Flint Mica with 126k on her. Got her with 118k. No major issues...yet. DIY HID replacement to 6K and a few oil changes and filters. Awesome cars, my second LS. I love em.

2001 LS430 UL

148,000 miles

So far, 2 air shocks were replaced, engine mounts replaced, passenger folding mirror replaced, oil change, and 4 new tires... nothing major at the moment! Best car I have ever owned in my 22 years on this planet!

OT: This is my first post, however I have lurked this forum since I had my 98 GS300 (got the 430 in March 2014) and you guys are truly awesome. I have discovered so much about this luxury liner from this website and its users. I have attached some pics of my baby (from my first days with it last March with momma bear's S550)

Smile Low mielage ...

I bought a beautiful 2005 LS 430 about six months ago that had under 56,000 miles on it. I'm just about ready to turn it to 60,000. Its in mint condition ... ML sound, heated and cooled seats, navigation ... its a wonderful car. At 76 years of age, I'm going to baby this thing and hopefully it will be my last car purchase. I drive about 8 to 9000 miles per year. I found it on Ebay Motors. It was located about 3 hours south of me, so I didn't have to pay for shipping. The only problem was a cracked tweeter on the right side of the dash, so the stereo was distorted in the highs. As a dedicated audiophile, the sound quality is very important to me and for a car audio system, I find it to be totally enjoyable. That's saying a lot because at home, I have a very high end audio system and thousands of vinyl records and CDs. The Lexus dealer replaced the tweeter by removing the glove compartment instead of the entire dash ... saving a lot of money in the process. I absolutely LOVE this car. It replaced a 1995 Infinity Q-45 that I had for 13 years. That one had 186,000 miles on it when I donated it to the Salvation Army.

Nice posting here on this site. You folks take care ...

update on 04 ML.

Up to almost 125k on the car. Only repairs since purchasing with 81,500 on it: driver door actuator replaced (ext. warr.), timing belt and water pump, had a transmission hose jump off the radiator and lose most of the fluid. Had fluid replaced and Transmission Shift Enhancement done. Power steering pump replaced (ext warr.), front and rear pads, fuse for ashtray cigarette lighter replaced (cell phone charger jack for me). Replaced spark plugs, cleaned MAF sensor and throttle body.

About 3 weeks ago one of my kids ripped a huge hole in the front passenger seat. For now I have clear packaging tape holding the flap in place until I can use a leather repair kit.

No other issues with the car. On my list of things to keep an eye on are the control arm bushings, rear differential fluid, and shocks. None of these are showing any signs of problems but I will be on the lookout.

I just hit 90,000 miles on my '01 UL. I haven't had to do anything to it. It's all original and still going strong. I just put it into the shop for the timing belt and water pump replacement, but other than that it hasn't been touched other than regualr scheduled maintenance. I'd rather get the timing belt done now just in case. I know it could go longer, but with that interferance engine I don't want to risk it and it's only setting me back $750! I lot of people think it's a newer car after looking at it and seeing it run. I have people guessing that it is an '05-'08 sometimes. Haha. It's a great and strong car that will last a life time!

I used to lurk on here with my '00 GS300 Platnium as well. Everyone here is awesome. There is a great sense of community and willingness to help. Thank you everyone! The black on black is awesome. I think it's the best combo especially with the dark cherry wood accents, but I personally think it would look even better with the gray wood accents with the black. I don't think they offered that combo though. I think with the lighter wood against the black it almost makes it look orange and too bright. The S550 is pretty cool too, but the S600 or S65 is amazing! I would still choose the LS unless I was independently wealthy. That would be a whole different story! Anyway, sorry for the rambling! It's great car! Take care of her!

Got my 04 LS430 Ultra with 212k on it and a dash full of warning lights. I found a link in the Tundra forums for the OBD plug and worked my way through. After getting the maintenance up to date, it ended up being a $90 front left ABS sensor wire and the 5 computers that were throwing codes cleaned up and haven't thrown codes since.

I also redid the ML speakers with Polk DB as the surround were already disconnected from the baskets and installed the Vaistech input adapter for my iPhone.

I'm working towards doing the timing belt and hopefully replace some of the air suspension, not sure if I'm keeping the air struts or converting over to coil spring yet.

I'm at 217k and the car looks and drives like new, it's a little loud over bumps but a buddy and myself think these are the original air struts so it's to be expected.

it might just be the bushings and not the air suspension.

I've been looking through Rock Auto at different bushings, not really sure which ones to address? I've had the car up in the corners with a floor jack but never fully off the ground on a lift. The car looks really clean underneath, everything seems pretty tight. There's nothing obvious looking me in the face.
