Default Changing the DRLs

I want steps to get my DRLs replaced as I couldnt find thread to show step by step DIY, and I found it too hard to remove the headlight out to get that DRL bulb out and it shows that its tightened with two screws which makes it almost impossible to get it changed without getting that headlight out.

The daytime running lights are actually just the high beams running at 6v. You should be able to refer to your owners manual about replacing these lamps. It is also recommended that you replace both at the same time. Never touch the lamp itself. The oil from your skin will cause premature failure. I always clean halogen or hid lamps with 90% rubbing alcohol before installation whether I accidentally touched the glass or not.

Hey friend,

This will give you step by step instructions to replace the DRL bulbs.

Off topic here but I was trying to install LED DRLs (knowing it would mean losing highbeams) but after buying the LED 9005 bulbs on amazon I realized it wasn't exactly plug and play like I had read on here when I searched. =/ If anyone has a DIY on installing the LED DRL I would be very grateful!

They can be turned off via the ecu with the techstream programmer from ebay or the dealer. I just turned mine off cuz the **** yellow coloring annoyed me.

Thanks for the reply, however this video only shows little since its meant only for changing the little bulbs above the DRLs, I still need instructions to take them out with the headlights

Hope someone will have something to participate with.

I found a picture but not sure about since it shows that we need to remove the bumper to be able to remove the headlights assembly.

I am sure this will help: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...-and-leds.html

He is saying in the post: Start by removing headlight from car.
3 10mm bolts to get one side of bumper off and 3 10mm to get Headlight out.

For the LS430 the DRL is the highbeam burning at reduce voltage. You should select the video for replacing the highbeam bulb. The site did not use a LS430 on the video, but the procedure is the same.
