LS430 with Tein CS and 19" Volks
#19
Not bad . . . for frame of reference, here's my previous 350Z with the same 19" wheels, stock suspension, and 245/35 and 285/35 . . . I think the LS is so large that it might like 20s a bit more

Z looks nice! I love the LE37Ts on the red Z, and Bronze TE37s on Silver cars.
I didn't want to go any larger than 19s because I didn't want to sacrafice any more of the ride, handling, suspension performance, etc. than what I'd sacrafice with 19s. I've put wheels and tires on probably 20+ vehicles and found that almost every time you go beyond 1" larger wheel than factory, you start really deterioriating the vehicle dynamics and suspension performance. Overly big wheels can generally provide an improvement in looks, but a downgrade in performance. It's ironic that most people think they've improved performance, though. I guess it's kinda like the way a car seems to run better and do everything better when it's freshly detailed.
By the way, what forced induction setup did you have on the Z? GReddy TT kit?

Yeah, it was a Greddy TT setup . . . the guy I sold it to added the return fuel system and managed to get a nice a/f curve generating 470whp. Sad to say though, he plans on selling it. I tried to tell him its an expensive hobby, but I think his g-friend finally squashed his 500whp plans *LOL*.
There's probably over $55k invested into the vehicle (rims, body kit, TT setup, exhaust, etc) . . . I think he's selling it for $32k. Oh well, I'm working on the audio of the LS, so in about a month or so, I'll have pics

Maybe you should have taken a minute to read the first sentance in the thread:
It's a different look, but just what I wanted since I tried to to take a different path from the usual VIP look

It's a different look, but just what I wanted since I tried to to take a different path from the usual VIP look. I'm thinking of adding a couple of turbos in the future and seeing if I can take the car into a bit more sporting direction while still maintaining most of the ride quality. As it sits, the car handles pretty decently (still rolls a good bit in hard cornering, but some bars would take care of that), steering feel is significantly better, and very little of the ride quality has been sacraficed. The 19" wheels and tires are lighter than the 17" stockers, BTW.
any chance you recollect the rim width and offset? great stance.
