I betcha those 2 guys in the background of the last photo, one is from BMW and the other Mercedes!...... And the other two on the left are Mr. & Mrs. Smith of Lexus, just getting the low down.....

That was funny. I remember a long time ago when Lexus first came out BMW, Mercedes and other car manufacturers bought an LS and took it apart, part by part to study how Lexus built their cars. I'm assuming when the next LS 460 comes out I hope it's like 1990 all over again.

Of course you're dealing with a Lexus crowd here so expect answers like that. In reality car manufacturers follow a general theme which fits the generation the car is introduced to.
That's primarily why you see some similarities.
Make no mistake though, the LS will be like no other car already on the market when it's introduced at the auto show circuit the beginning of next yr.

The LF-sh probably has already been drafted & designed before the facelifted 7 series was unveiled a few months ago though, no?
