Feeling like an old man....
I am officially feeling like an old man. I’ve had my LS430 for about 3 months now. I love the car, I moved up from an extremely sporty 2004 5 series that hauled @ss. I must mentioned that I drive about 25k miles per year, roughly 120 miles per day…AND that when I picked up the 5 series two years ago, I got 3 tickets within the first 6 months. Yes, I said, 3 freaking speeding tickets.
That cost some money, not to mentioned time wasted. Anyway, I loved the car, service for the BWW at the dealer was HORRIBLE!! And since we were getting great service for the LX, not to mention, it’s been extremely reliable, I made the switch to the LS.
Here is the story…I just took the car in for service….everything was handled in a professional, kiss-@ss manner. Life is good.
I did notice that when I picked up my LS on Saturday morning, there were a bunch of old folks (no disrespect intended) picking up their car as well.
Problem was, they were all driving the LS.
What to do? Well, I think I’m going for mods…..any thoughts??

hey man, I feel you. Im just 22, turning 23 next feb.
I feel older when driving in the LS too... most of the people I see driving around are grey-haired folks.
But no worries, the LS is a nice car and it keeps me pampered enough inside to care about something else.

What is this >50 business? Does that mean everyone >50 is in the same group? Break it down into decades, to give you a better picture. When you are as old as I am, it's not really that old! (or so I tell myself!)

deniska, dont go the CLS route...you will definitely regret it !! hehe
You will feel cramped after driving the LS... thats what I felt when I got into my friend's CLS after coming from the LS.
But the 645ci .... or the M6... thats another story.
btw, where are you in NY?

"Old" is not the perception I think other have when I am in my LS, more like a drug dealer
I have a black on black LS430 with sport polished 18's and limo tint all around
I have cross drilled rotors front and back and I am waiting on my black chrome euro grill.
Ive seen other LS430 and they can look very tame looking especially with stock 16's or even 17's, non sport model which I am pretty sure sits higher.
I can't picture gray haired folks driving with this set up.

I love the LS430 and I don't give a d*mn that people think it's an old person car. For me, the comfort, luxury and reliability is all that matters.
I don't own an LS yet - I was in the market for a used one, but with the new model coming out, I've decided to hold off.

Upgrades are released toward the end of the year, so you can now pre-order the 2005 update (or you could buy the '04 version). I think CL members get a discount on some things in this site, so you may want to check.
