On one of Lexus.com pages it list a review by Audio Video Revolution. http://www.audiorevolution.com/equip...470/index.html. The reviewer refers to a Mark Levinson sound system on a 2003 GX470 and talks about loading a Frank Zappa DVD Audio DTS disk. Is this possible on the LS430 I tried loading a DTS Paul McCartney 'Band on the Run' and just got static. Is the Mark Levinson audio 5.1?

no i don't think it works. you need a dvd changer or so that reads dvd audio. i think it's available for the gx, lx, and maybe the rx (models with the dvd changer / rear entertainment options)

but on the sedans/coupes, i think the 06 gs is the first one with in dash dvd changer, where you can play dvd audio and also dvd movies if you want. the same thing will be available on the 06 is, and i am sure when the ls get redesigned next yr the new system should be in place

It's not the Levinson 5.1 but I believe in that review if i'm not mistaken is from the DVD player\TV that comes with the GX ,RX, and LX the GS and IS however is designed to play 5.1\6.1\7.1 straight from the CD changer.
