Does Lexus still replace the LexusLink for free with a sunglass holder upon request? Can someone post a pic of what the sunglass holder looks like (open/close)? Thanks.

I'll gladly post a pic when I get home from work and have my digital camera. I think it looks nice and clean, however the sunglasses fold down is not very smooth. Mine gets hung up about half-way down, but I can live with it. The color match was perfert also. This was a supprise since I have the Ultra package with ECRU interior. I figured this was pretty unique.

Photo coming soon.

My sunglasses holder comes down smoothly and slowly. I would mention the issue the next time you are there.

Like i said in another post, I know it is hard to listen to it everytime.. But it is a $1200 FEATURE... Are you gonna let them remove it for free? You just lost your $1200. There is a black wire, i dont know what it does, but i read somewhere you can cut it off... It looks a lot nicer, than being plain, and i think memo might work...
DONT CUT IT OFF
check first

True, that's what you paid for it. It's not much of a feature or value anymore if it's useless. When this stops working, it will say "The Lexus Link is not active" how cool will that be?

I know a guy that still has a betamax player in his AV stack at home. He's says: "But I paid 500 bucks for it and it impresses people!"

Ha... Ha.... Man ain't that the truth. Get rid of that thing, you know you'll never use the MEMO recorder.

working in parts i can vouch that matching the ivory or ecru 4LA LL removal parts is a complete dart shoot. The LS's have about 8 different trim codes and 3 different color headliners. Even after copious notes as to which uses what, there was alwasy one that didnt match (tan/ecru). very frustrating to be honest!

i can understand mis-ordering the piece from my point of view, i cant understand not covering their a$$es and ordering both because they know better tho

haha
On the Memo we can beg for the sound of Lexus Link to just magically STOP haha
Mine says both (Active) then (has detected an error)
I HAVE TO GO THROUGH IT TWICE...
is it normal?
Im still not gettin rid of it
Next owner is gonna have to get used to it...

No, it is not normal- to keep that stupid voice in your car...

Get that thing out of there. People aren't impressed by it, their EMBARASSED by it. "Check out my hi-tech car, It's detected an error I am too cheap to get fixed"

If it's already not working it probably won't hurt to go ahead and cut it.
