02 to 04 tail light swap?

I don't think they can be swapped. Because they have different shapes and wouldn't fit on the other's trunklid. The 04 tail light is slightly smaller than 02's.

I've since purchased a few LED type bulbs and will need to add load resistors before trying them out. I'm still looking for the 04 clear corners. If anybody has a source for these please let me know. Thanks.
