Default 2004 LS430 Pricing

What quotes are people getting for the 2004 LS430?

As of today. the best price I've been quoted for a 2004 LS430 with modern luxury (aka navi) on the East Coast is $57250 plus tax, which is still quite a bit above the $53248 invoice and the 2% holdback. Has anyone been able to do better?

Thumbs up Not sure

I have one ordered for $2000 off only with a call from a friend who knows the GM. I was told everyone else sticker.I ordered a sport black/black with chrome 18's with smart access. Dealer is in midwest. Someone in Fla got $3000 off. I have waited almost a year to buy and I did not want to travel or ship.

Where did you get the $57250 price?

I have been offered only $1500 off (dealer's initial offer). I haven't yet gone through the negotiation process in depth. It almost seems insulting to only be offered $1500 off on a $62,000 car!

I purchase the UL package for about $5,500 off sticker price, after much negotiating.

exBMW - Are you at liberty to disclose the identity of your selling dealer?

Well, let's just say they are located in Van Nuys, CA. However, don't expect to be able to show up and get the same price as me. Getting them to that price took several iterations of negotiating. It was all done over the phone, because I refuse to show up to a dealer and waste a lot of my time before knowing how much they are going to want to sell the car for.

I did get several other dealers to offer discounts close to that amount. It all depends on whether they have the car in stock or not, and how many people are trying to buy them. The UL package is a bit pricey, and not as popular as some of the lesser priced ones.

If a dealer tells you that the car is so popular that you have to pay sticker, just refuse to do business with them, and let them know why. There is NO reason to pay sticker on a car this expensive!

Knowing which dealer you dealt with, my hat's off to you. In all my dealings with them, they've been very tightfisted on price, so you really scored. Which color combo did you get?

It's all a matter of timing, mood of the manager, desire to move the vehicle, alignment of the moon and the stars...Actually, nobody really knows what criteria the sales manager uses to make pricing decisions. I have generally found these things to be quite random. I do a lot of negotiating for my company, and to some extent I suppose I enjoy it.

I went with the black exterior, and the ecru (very light beige?) interior. I absolutely love the car. It's a dream to drive.

I submitted requests-for-quotes on edmunds.com up and down the east coast (ie., by plugging in different zip codes). It should be easy to get at least $4500 over invoice (ie., roughly $3k under MSRP) without any haggling, you just have to find the dealer who wants to move his inventory, and the easiest way to do that is via email.

It appears at our local dealership that people are clamoring for the cars.....every one has had a deposit on it or has sold immediately upon arrival. I suppose that Lexus and their dealers help create a demand by keeping the supply relatively low.

It may require waiting until the feeding frenzy is over and some cars are sitting on the lot to get a great deal.
