New to the forum, 4th Owner of a 1996 LS400 with 232,000 miles. Carfax showed very minor "maintenance" type of repairs. Car drives amazingly - great information here!

I wonder if any LS has ever turned 1 million miles. While it seems unlikely, this is the car to do it... so over engineered and amazing.

I'm sporting a robust 262,200. This forum has been responsible for at least the last 100k. I try to do everything myself. Just about due for a new belt and water pump - the only thing I refuse to try!

Was just given a 1990 LS 400. Can't say for sure what the mileage is, because the odometer went out at about 250k, but the previous (original) owner said it was at about 450k.

The interior is thrashed, but some new seat covers hide much of that. Had to recharge the air and replace the stereo, but it is now a pretty nice ride.

For the age and mileage, the engine amazes me!

Recommendations on oil type and frequency of oil changes to keep it in good shape?

My best advice would be to call Lexus corporate and order a free owners manual and also give them your VIN number and see if there are any recalls that have been missed by the previous owners. You can also order the owners manual at Lexus.com.Good luck and welcome. 1-800-255-3987

I have '99 over here and she's running beautifully at 239,xxx. It's still the car that I choose to drive over my SRT-8 Jeep many of times.
