Thumbs up Muffler Delete Mod

For those of you that have done this......... What did you put in its place?

I was looking at a car awhile back & sometimes I see this in cars magazines w/ the pipe that attaches to where the muffler was and goes all the way back with some nice exhaust tips.

I almost did this mod with some nice tips. Cause the mufflers that I wanted (twin tips) were so expensive over here. I could of had almost the same look with out that muffler.

If you put something where the muffler was please show your pictures.

If you didnt put anything there are you going to later on or leave it like it is?

I for one didn't use anything.

For those wanting the look(s) you show above the straight pipe with tips option is a good one, minimum weight with no added backpressure. The stock silencers (middle mufflers) are surprisingly quiet and the in car sound increase is modest even without straight pipes. With pipes there would be very little increase in car. Outside the car people would hear a slightly stronger Lexus

Everytime I see a Celsior (NOW) over here I look at the exhaust. LOL

There are more cars w/ this set up then I thought. Most of the cars are Lowered & have an Aero kit on it that its hard to tell they have straight pipes and no muffler.

The sound is NICE

With out the center muffler where your cross connect is now and the silencers before your mufflers. Is it loud now?

Those pipes in the picture are still kind of expensive here in Japan. Im not sure who sells them or for how much but I have seen them in pictures and in cars. A friend had some kind of like that those with pipes up to the center muffler and he sold it for over $220 and it was used.

For that price maybe you can get it custom made in the U.S. for less.

hehe ask some of the members like BR1AN how loud it is, theres nothing from the begining to the end except for the mufflers. Heres the front part of the piping.

Yeah...loudest setup on a Lexus I've heard so far. Sounds as loud as a Harley when he revs it.

As far as the muffler delete goes, looking at the pics on Lextreme, the silencers have all that heat discoloration. Which would you think creates the most pressure...the silencers or mufflers? If you were to remove one set, which would you suggest
