Tanabe's are the business. I can't find anything comparable yet. However the ride is closer to OEM so if your trying to upgrade for performance go with H&R, if your going for look, stance and comfort then go with the Tanabe's.

Depends on what you are looking for. For OEM ride and lowest drop with OEM struts then Tanabes are good for least fender gap. They are real soft like OEM though.
If you are after a firmer ride for better handling then H&R's and Bilstein HD's set at lowest spring perch setting is the way to go. The drop is close if not the same as Tanabes. This is what I went for. The Tanabe's were just too soft - especially since I spent cash on other suspension components to improve handling.
If I had to do it all over again I would opt for Megans though.

Whenever you lower your car you're risking wearing out the struts pre-maturely. It mostly depends on how you drive and your roads as to the life of your struts. Granted the the lower the drop the more likely you are to bottom out your struts. I've personally never had stock struts blow on me pre-maturely with aftermarket springs.
I'm running my Tanabe's on stock struts untill they fail, than I will upgrade, once I decide weather to go tokico ot KYB.

Agreed - I installed Tanabes last Christmas thinking I would like the bigger drop over my H&R's and immediately reinstalled the H&R's. The soft ride is not for me but everybody has their tastes 
The Tanabes were almost exactly like OEM - perfect if you want a drop with cushy ride.

Depending on your drive height preference, then I say Tanabe. What is stopping you from going coilovers?
Here is something that no one has mentioned in any Tanabe or spring related post...from what i've noticed, on 93's and possibly 94's or maybe all 1st gen's you'll get a lower drop on the driver rear than compared to the passenger side. I noticed this on springs...i experienced this with RS-R and Tanabe springs. Perhaps it was just my car...
Go with coilovers. If I decide to shame myself, i'll put up pics of my car I just installed coils on in a new thread.

Which way to go ? (suspension '95)
So i have to make a decision but dont want to regret it. I am deciding on what to do with my suspension on my 95 ls400. currently i have a set of tanabe springs sitting in my closet, but im leaning towards coils . should i bye struts for the springs or should i get coilovers and if so which ones should i get that wont be too expensive. 
i most likely am goin to order the suspension this weekend
