I'm sure that is just for collision. Not comprehensive as well. Even on my 99 collision was as cheap as $38.00 a month. My wife worked in insurance with very large insurer before becoming a professor. The smartest people are insuring themselves and their assets, not so much the car. If you own a home just imagine what an at fault accident with a large judgment against you would mean... Or getting hit and injured by an uninsured motorist. Especially, when all you are talking is another $40.00 a month. Something to think about.

I totally agree. I will gladly pay a little more to have the customer service.

I am 26 with an 00 LS400 in the Chicago, IL area

State Farm with 500/500 comp/collision - I also have road hazard and rental coverage (basically everything)
$515 / 6mo

I have the following discounts on my plan:
$147 - accident free
$27 - multiple vehicles
$86 - multi line (home/car)
$18 - anti-theft/vehicle safety

State Farm has been good to me- my family has used them for a long time and I have never had any serious problems with their service. Usually just a quick phone call and they handle everything.

I finally used my road side service to tow my last vehicle (I come from an auto family who NEVER tows a car and insists on trying to fix it to get it home) and I have to say for the $5 it is definitely worth it. State Farm makes you save the receipt and reimburses you- this kind of sucks but its not a big deal, my coworker has Geico and they call/pay for the tow automatically for you.

I have been thinking of pricing out Geico or Progressive just to compare coverage costs but I have been too lazy- my only recommendation for others is to avoid Allstate.

Default How much do you pay to insure your LS?

Hey CL, Still sorta newb here but I wondering if i was overpaying for my insurance by.. well a lot.
I'm currently with P-ressive and as a 19 year old... my monthly premium is 300+ for full coverage.
anyone else here paying around this for their ls?

I love the LS but the high insurance + 300 miles to a tank (if i'm not city driving ha. ha. Miami. ha)
at 3.79 a gallon for a college kid is making me want to get a small civic, just to save some money but I love my ls.
any idea if this is just something i have to try and live with?
