new distributor cap had a crack, can I use this?
I purchased this cap last year and when I received by mail, it had a crack on the rubber cap.
This distr. cap is for RH and I did fix with super glue. and now I'm planning to replace them but I'm wondering if I can still use this distri. cap no problem. how important is this rubber cap part? does anyone know?
It wasn't really a crack but they were broken into two separate peaces and I put them together.

I wouldn't recommend reusing that part. Any cracks can allow dust and dirt to get inside and mess up the contact points. When in doubt, replace it. They aren't that expensive anyway.
