Fuel consumption problem
I bought 95 LS recently (6 weeks ago) and car runs fine except 2 problems:
1) Fuel consumption. Average is 20-22 litres per 100 km (dunno how much in miles/gallon) in city driving.
1 fuel tank is enough for 420-480 kms (about 260 miles +/- 15 miles)
Guys, can you recomend something ? Maybe a problem to look at ? I still have dealer's warranty and hope I will be able to fix the problem if it's really serious.
2) A little bit noisy.
Car is noisier then I was expecting. It's not "tomb like" quiet Of course it's very silent comparing to Ford but I can hear all engine noises. Plus car vibrates on idle and when I'm driving.
If you have any ideas please let me know
TIA

Try replacing your fuel filter and try some Chevron with Techron fuel injection cleaner. http://store.yahoo.com/rodi/ch65740t.html
Also sounds like you need a valve adjustment if your car has a slight tic.

Bad oxygen sensors can also cause poor fuel consumption, I am going to replace all 4 when I have some spare change. I don't think your fuel consumption is too far from normal range. I recently replaced my fuel filter and my MPG increased. It sounds like your car needs a tune-up though.
Hey, if you still have a dealer warranty just have them throughly check your car out and fix what needs to be done.
