After market Air suspension
I don't know if anyone here has thought of or consider this but here goes. i use to go to alot of street rod shows in the past and as of the last couple of years haven't gone cause of work. they have air suspension kits for all kids of cars and rods that are allmost universal and seem to be bullit proof. did anyone here think about trying to get one for the LS's and installing them? they are suppose to be the way of the future for a ride and i must admit they do look dam auesome. you can dial these babies to the ground when you are parked and just hit the switch when you decide to go for a ride. it takes the suspension up to where you had it set at alignment. i had seen this work and the ones i talked to love this set -up. i really think this could work on our LS"s and other models if not factory equipted. these air suspensions are modeled after the big rigs and from what i was told would last for hundreds of thousands of miles if not more. also parts are readily available. so if anyone has more info on this i think this is a positive in the right direction and can be done. actually i have looked into one of these kits but once i found out how much they cost, how much is involved with installing them and since i drag race my car, those aftermarket air suspension kits add way too much weight and take up too much space. but i agree if u are into car shows then the kits are something to consider. as for me i'm just going to install coilovers and trash all the stock air suspension components and try to lose more weight!!! i'm down to 3750lbs without me in it.

yea i know what you mean as far as price goes. you would think that they have been out for a while now the price would come down considerably but it hasn't. i really like the set-up and think as far as looks and ride goes this would be close to stock. the thing i don't like is you loose the ride when you go with coil-overs. as far as racing goes i wouldn't recommend it with the air ride either. I'm just looking for a way to go with newer stuff that's out there. maybe someone in the club will experiment with this set-up and post it here in the future. the trick i think here would be getting hooked up with someone in the mfg. end of it that would try and make one fit.
