Parking Brake Light On While Driving

Recently while I'm driving, my parking brake lights up.....I though I forgot to release the parking brake but I already did.......This happens more and more often.........Is this something serious???
Gotta start looking for a new car now

check brake fluid

it's probably indicating that your brake fluid level is low.

I had the same problem too Eric. Thought I was low on brake fluid as link13 mentioned, but turned out that my front brake pads were worn out.

Its either the fluid is low, your pads are thin or there is a ground in the connection on your brake fluid reservoir cap.
