Weird colors on side view mirror?

Weird colors on side view mirror?
I've had these odd colors on my side view mirrors since I got my LS400 2 months ago, does any body know what this is and how to remove it? I tried scrubbing the mirror with soapy water and that didn't work.

the layers are peeling...de-laminating...it happens over time...mine is doing it too

Could the problem be avoided by using pure water when cleaning those auto dimming mirrors?

Started noticing the same on mine as well. It's only visible when I drive into my work parking garage that is heavily fluorescent lit.

nothing you can do about it. they all do this as they get older.

I have a replacement mirror (just the glass)...but have no clue how to install it
