New wheels; now I need lugs. Help?
I just replaced the wheels on my '90 LS, with those of a '02 LS. They look real nice but the lug nuts are too small (they fit of course, but they're way in there). Also, they don't look too good. Anyway, I've checked at a lot of parts stores & nothing looks quite right--they don't have that big flat washer like the stock ones do. They're all cone-shaped where they come in contact with the wheel. Anyone know of a place on the web where I can score some nice chrome ones that are closer to stock for these wheels? Or do I really even need the washer?

My recommendation; check local dealer prices first, then you know the most expensive price up front, then check the Club Lexus vendors in the marketplace (Carson Toyota and Sewell Lexus [Lexus-Parts] are dealers and I can personally vouch for good experiences with both) , they are all trusted and proven to have the best service and biggest discount for members, then check fleabay - usually lowest price but highest risk. You could check junkyards, but those wheels are very new and they probably will have to look far and wide to find the lugnuts.
Good Luck!

very interesting..
I plan on also replacing my 90 LS400 15" wheels with 17" LS430 wheels and i assume i'll have the same problem.BTW do you know the offset of your new rims? 50 mm perhaps same as the old ones? If a Lexus dealer isn't local a Toyota dealer should be able to order you any Lexus parts.Good luck!

Umm.
Don't use flat-seat lug nuts on wheels that have cone seats or vice versa. The result will not be pretty and I guarantee it. I would have suggested e*** but then again it's a cuss word around here. Look for something that's called "bulge acorn lug nuts". The thread specs is 12x1.5mm and look for the ones with 13/16" (21mm) hex so you can use your stock lug wrench.

Thanks everyone for the tips; I don't know the offset but I know they work and they really look nice. Maybe I'll try to shoot a picture tomorrow. I put 225/65, Dunlop A2's on it which is the stock tire size for these wheels. I get a very slight rub (on that plastic inner part of the wheel well) if I corner hard and hit a big bump at the same time, which I wish was never. Anyway, I think my struts are next on the list.
