Why not the Ci or the Xi? Should have gone all the way.

Hey LXTASY, The 330 is a fine car. MUCH sportier than an LS400. Quicker than your 96 as well. So, how about a test against a boat??? Care to run the 330 against my LS400? I am in Houston... yourself? If you are close we could meet at HRP for a little Japan vs. Germany

Ummmm, I would definitely like to break the car in before any "racing", oh, and do I get to add mods to my car before we race or were you planning on removing yours to make the race "stock vs stock" ? Also, since we will already have the cars together would you be so bold as to have a race on , lets say a autoX course? It will give you a chance to demonstrate starboard & stern turns at speed !

Ummm... well, at the moment the mufflers are ON the car. The airbox mod? Sure, that is easy as I can just replace the stock cover. But really, a lightweight, quick, strong, unbeatable BMW shouldn't worry about a big heavy puny 4 liter jap car... right?

As far as autoX goes... that just wouldn't be fair now would it, knowing the handling prowess of ANY LS400 would simply run off and leave ANY BMW, just not fair Actually, I just picked up a set of Eibach springs. I haven't decided on shocks yet (Tokico, Bilsteins, etc) but with the drop and the eventual shock improvement all I would ask for is relative tire equality (width and aspect ratio relative to vehicle weight) and I would give the X a go!

So, where are you in Texas?

Austin , no tracks here, closest is Temple and that track is lame. So it looks like I just need to break in my new baby & master the 6 spd and we're ready to go But I would sure hate for you to give the autoX a try and for you to go home with a bunch of orange cone marks all over your car, but heh, it's your car

Lxtasy-

You should have really stepped up to the plate and went for the M3. Oh well, at least you chose the best looking bimmer of the bunch. Hopefully they won't ruin the looks of that car in the future like they have with the new "5" and "7".

If BMW would have made the M3 in a 4 door I would have done it, but with 3X a week hauling kids to soccer practice it is just to much of a pain having a 2 door. I have been that route before when I had a 95 2dr M3 before owning the LS400.
