Does anyone know straight up if the GS/SC400 differential, and perhaps also subframe, bushings will fit an LS400 -98?

Tell me to use google/the search button and i will scream. Sure it wont affect you but think of my neighbours.

the diff will not bolt in, the main subframe bushings will definitely be different.

The rear plate of the diff is different, if you swap them it will work. The front differential mounts work fine.

The GS300 has a different input shaft. gs400/GS430 is the same as the '98-00LS.

All information provided is specific for the '98-00 LS400. earlier LS' are very different.

Is the difference in the rear diffplates that the LS right rear mount has one bolt whereas the GS has two?
So that with a bit of luck if one could get their hands on two single hole bushings it COULD be a fit?

I don't know if there's a difference in measurement.

You could try getting just two "left" side diff bushings for the GS, perhaps?

Why do you want solid diff bushings, is this a competition vehicle?

Not competition so far but purpose adjusted towards drifting.
The rear interior is allready gone and its got bucket seats in the front.

The shop didnt install the LSD when they were supposed to because they werent sure it would fit (although i was) and they couldnt get a hold of me.
Got a new time scheduled in 2 weeks with the instruction of "make it fit or weld it".
And i was thinking maby they could do the bushings while they´re at it.

More weight reduction probably coming with AC delete and stereo etc.

Im also looking in to a manual conversion using collins S13 partial 1uzfe swap.

And at this point there is no turning back to "Luxury Sedan" so why not go flat out race?

what kind of LSD do you have? If you have a model number or what it came out of it would help.

Srsly though, does anyone know of any sport style bushings for the 98 LS?
ive found a few for parts of the front/rear suspension and perhaps sway bar but nothing for the diff (except ears now you tell me) and subframes.

Alu, poly, i dont care!.... wood?

Battleversion was nice enough to tell me that the GS rears are 90mm in diameter and a rule to my LS shows 50-something so thats out the window.

You could always have delrin or aluminum bushings made at a local machine shop, just pop out the stock ones and hand them over.

the DAT3020 APPEARS to be able to fit the right diff, but i can't guarantee anything obviously.


Serial9 and Battle version both make full sets of arms with heim joints, as does megan (cheaper/lower end).

As ive understood the old bushings will have to be burned/manhandled out not leaving much to hand over?

But if i were to do that perhaps with new ones is the part number 41651-50111?
And does anyone know if the bolt, 41110S, is M12 or M14?
Figs are asking cause they might have a bushing they could collar.


Regarding the diff we will soon find out for sure!

And ive only just recently come to realise that those after market links are completely solid, dont read much about it but i guess everyone takes it for granted and stance/race ppl dont whine when giving up comfort.

Too bad full sets shipped and taxed would cost about as much as my car.

Have them shipped as machine parts?

A full set of rear arms should be <$600 for the rear i believe.

I did not understand the bushing question you are asking, please try to rephrase it?
