Nice save. I painted my cars at home. Came out very nicely. I would've sand polish the sides and paint faded panels. Something about original paint.

I would have done exact that, just didn't have the time. Even got a brand new FX3000 spray gun that I've been itching to use...

Part 3: Time to do some cleaning

Finished up cleaning the interior this past Sunday.

Needless to say, it was filthy...

I tackled the dashboard and interior plastic parts first. Used Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and a little bit of dish soap.

This is just from the dashboard:

Then cleaned the seats using Lexol cleaner and Lexol conditioner, PC7424 with a soft brush attachment and a scrubbing pad:

Used some heavy-duty carpet cleaner and a carpet brush on the Porter cable to clean up the front floor mats

Then finally followed up by putting some shine back into plastic pieces with Meguiar's Natural Shine Protectant (gives it a nice shine, without greasiness):

I didn't take any 'after' shots of mats themselves...kinda forgot, but they can be seen in later pics. They cleaned up a lot, but not perfect.

I got the brush attachments from AutoGeek:

Bottom pic looks like the color is significantly lighter, but that's just due to lighting in the garage.
Definitely liking the one color all over. Our cars look much better this way. And the wheels...?

They will be getting repainted soon, as well. Just waiting for some nicer weather

Also, I might get rid of the pin-stripe

I had the same wheels on my 98 when I got it but they were the shiny chrome versions. Tried hard to sell them cheap but since no one wanted them the junkman got them for free

Chrome wheels would be nice on it, but oh well...

Interestingly, the spare wheel I have is chrome.

Now get some cheapy floor mats to put on top of the originals, so they don't get crapped out any more. Looks good.
