Its kind of sickening how pick n pull wastes LS400 parts. As they only keep the cars for about a month then crush them along with lots of unsold (for ridiculous prices too) parts. LS's are slowly disappearing, along with many other makes and models too.

These cars are getting up there in age and the market just is not there anymore. just the other day a shop was going to sell me a 96 with a blown engine for $400. I had no where to put it so i could scavenge parts plus none of the body really is a direct fit to my 98.

they value it differently since the market shows there is no demand for these parts. when these cars become classics, like your current classics now where those parts are super expensive to source and buy, prices will rise again. it's all about demand, and business in the end!

i totally see current classic car prices decline when the baby boomers start dying away, bc demand will fall.

It is sickening but that's the way the life of car stuff goes. Get while the getting is good because 20 years + becomes tough unless there were lots and lots made. 3 years for the 95-97 and same for the 98-00, there aren't lots around to pull parts from.

for years I would see them all the time in the pick-a-part by me. Now that I have one I haven't seen one. Needed a quick replacement for a pot hole induced broken shock. NOBODY had a second gen around me.

I ran a across a place in Santa Ana CA called 999 Lexus parts phone # 714-569-1999 I just bought some 91 LS tail lights for $80.00 not to expensive compared to the dealer. they are in great condition for being 25 years old
I also bought some SC rims and they were perfect at $500.00 they have a lot of parts from 1990 and up.

No doubt it's sad to see them getting old enough now to really be starting to die off and fade away. Up till a few years ago I'd pass 4 or 5 of them on the road. Now I can go a week without passing another one in traffic. And yes, there are a lot less 95-97s and even less 98-00s then 90-94s. Give it another ten years and the ucf20 will be a very rare car indeed..

That's odd, seeing that you are in Florida, Seems like they would be Everywhere!

I see first generation LS's, and 98+ models here ALL THE TIME, but the 95-97's seem alot rarer in this nick of the woods.. which is funny, because most people in Colorado are terrified of RWD cars...

Here in the DC area I see half a dozen 430s a day, but a week or two passes between sightings of another 400.

Really???? I see way more civics and accords around my parts than LS400s. I never said that there are not some still on the road, just not as many as there used to be.....
