Default Replica LS430 18" worth it?

Anyone use them here? Found a place that manufactures replica OEM wheels and they do have LS430 18" ones. I was wondering what the quality would be like compared to OEM? Would it be better to just get aftermarket like Enkei or ASA? Thanks.

if YOU like it then go for it. They are just aftermarket wheels like any of the others.

nobody would probably notice that they are knockoffs but i personally hold the LS in too high regard to put anything other than genuine oem wheels from another LS on it. i'd also be more worried that the quality isn't as high and the wheel may never be properly balanced or something

small little info:
there should be no problems with wheels that are approved by the japanese light alloy wheel standard, or JWL. most wheels are stamped with this and signifies a road worthy standard. mind you even rotas and cheap taiwanese wheels have this stamp so not all are created equal. also make sure it has the VIA stamp to show it passed said testing to meet JWL.

with that said, i'm with sha and that if you like the design it should be fine. most aftermarket wheels, even the name brand volk, work, SSR, are built differently compared to OEM wheels which are mass produced. aftermarket wheels are meant to bend and break during use (usually in high stress situations), whereas OEM wheels should last the life of the car!

I know what you all are saying, but OEM LS430 wheels are almost impossible to locate

Hmm, but most of you put aftermarket wheels on the car, how would this be diff? Maybe not as reputable as Enkeis and Volks for sure.

If you aren't set on the 5 spoke 18's, the 17's are easier to find. Billy will post a pic of his. Otherwise, if the replica 18's are ok with you, get them. Hard to buy what is scarce and hunting down a set while challenging doesn't help if it takes multiple months to find a set that needs repairs-reconditioning. These may weigh a bit more 1-3 pounds over stock. The GS 5 spokes are pretty nice alternates.

now just imagine that with the 1" drop h&r springs

Attrition of these wheels is part of the problem. The road salts used in the East play havoc with these wheels by causing them to pit and leak air at the seam. Those LS owners are also looking for replacements and suffice using them as winter wheels doesn't help. Dry states the wheels do well but they aren't going to be coming off the car without having to buy the whole car.

Thanks for the pics. But I am set on GS430 5 spokes OEM or replica. If not, I will go aftermarket.

I was dead set on the OEM 04 LS430 wheels and looked everywhere for a longggggg time. i finally found some on craigslist and the guy wanted $700 so i contacted him. At the same time I saw some 19in G35 rays and offered the guy $500 and he agreed. The LS430 wheels needed more work plus the rays were lighter, stronger(forged), cheaper and the 19s looked better with a 1-2in drop.
