props on the initiative!
Yeah, I thought about that but I'm usually driving in a manner that will push enough air into the remaining vent space. Anyway, I heard the Lexus engineers built this car to run underwater or in outer space...with no air

I had some chrome mesh material left over from my grille project so I added a piece on the vent space. I like it for now...we'll see in a few days. Thanks for all the comments.

Cool!

I personally prefer without the mesh, but maybe i would like better if the mesh was more inside.

I think you're right. It was an after-thought...unfortunately after the cover was put back on. If it starts bugging me enough I'll pull everything apart again and mount it from the backside.

Just fine...from 10 feet away everything looks great! Like I said before - it's a 17 year old car so it doesn't have to be perfect for me. I'm into customization not restoration. Sure, I coulda spent about $300 for a professional respray but I can use that money for other stuff. Lol.

I went back on ebay where I found several cheap ones available for the 95-97 and took a chance and got one. Check out the side-by-side photo and you will see that they are nearly identical. When I did the install this weekend the only problem I had was having to drill 2 additional holes in the plastic because they did not align with holes in the underbody.

$300 for a respray? How about $500 for vinyl? Ok, my paint/body finish work sucks so I had the front bumper and trunk vinyl wrapped. It may be difficult to see the detail in the trunk photo but this is silver aluminum with a brushed finish. I like it! In fact - I will probably go back and have the darker lower half of the entire car and rear bumper done next. Right now I am also liking the badgeless look though I am itching to put my Celsior emblem back on. Cheers.

Finished off the "new look" with new clear side markers since the old ones were starting to yellow.
