Rpm reading low

Hey guys I have just brought a ls400 and the tach is reading low is there a fix for it..

You have to give more info. Is it reading low while in gear or at idle. Is the car warmed up? What year is your car and how many miles are on it?

It's a 90 not sure of miles (I'm Aussie) but has 205000ks the motors not doing 200 rpm just the tachs reading as 200 rpm and the red line when you floor it it 4000rpm but the car is idling fine and drives fine revs out like it should just doesn't show on the tach
