Your last ECU install "Appeared to be good" so how did you check it? Maybe all your problems are the leaky capacitors. I feel that anytime there is a funkiness of engine and transmission operation on these cars that is the first thing to rule out. A person could end up changing every sensor and electronic control component on the engine and still have the same problem if the ECU is messing up.

I checked the ecu by taking it apart, and looking for any signs of bad components. I feel pretty comfortable around dc boards, and would have no problem changing capacitors etc. But I saw nothing wrong.

ALSO, I got the new coolant temperature sensor in, and drove the car around last night... CEL is gone again and it hasn't had a problem yet! Also the car runs NOTICEABLY better now, especially at idle! ...I think that may have done it! I'll post back with updates!!!

Ill update again if it isn't and maybe in a week saying it is for sure fixed.

Engine coolant temp sensor plays a big part.

I already did, that is what I am saying fixed it!

Changing the IAC, It's viton o-ring and the harness connector has FIXED the jumpy idle.
Changing the ECT sensor has FIXED the occasional not starting problem.

ALL IS WELL!

Hopefully that information is useful to someone else in the future!
