How to run new speaker wire to doors
My son and I are resurrecting an old 91LS400. As part of that project, an amp is going in with 5.25" door speakers from Kicker. As the goal is to run the speakers from the 75x4 amp rather than from the new head unit, we need to get speaker wire into the doors.
Any LS400 specific tricks here? Thus far, we are having a difficult time get anything to pass through the door wiring accordion. We've tried a coat hanger, weed eater line, taped together pieces of zip ties - nothing seems to work as a result (were I guessing) of the foam that Lexus put around the wires already in there.

Grab old speaker wire. Grab new speaker wire. Tie a super crazy unbreakable knot with them. Pull on old speaker wire from inside the car. Pull towards the inside of the car until new speaker wire is fished all the way through.
Old electricians trick. However I agree with sha. Tap into existing wiring. Butt connectors or soldering, your choice. Just make sure to heat shrink tube any connections. Easy peasy chicken greasy.

The last "tool" I used for pulling wires through a "door wiring accordion" or whatever it is called was a 12 inch plastic zip tie.
Did you detach both ends of the rubber "accordion" (i.e. from the door and from the car body) before poking the coat hanger or zip tie through it? I had to do that the last time I pulled wires into car doors - that was on our '12 Toyota Prius wagon when I was installing mirror turn signal covers.
