Default New Member and 1998 LS400

Hi all. I wanted to say hello and show a picture of my 1998 LS400 I bought a month ago. It has 125,000 miles on it a very clean. All service records from Mission Viejo Lexus. I recently installed some H&R springs with KYB Struts. So far I love the car and can't wait to get some rims!

I wanted a white one with grey interior but they are kind of hard to find. I was lucky to find this one in such great condition locally.

Here are some pics right after I installed the H&R springs and new KYB struts.

Awesome you found what you wanted. Nobody believes me when I tell them I searched for months to find exactly what I wanted since it's an "old" car haha. I laugh at their need to finance a $60k car to feel self worth

i'm liking that ride height, although i think i'd much rather keep that stock just so everything is at the angle it was originally intended and stuff doesn't wear incorrectly. if i had two LS 400's however...

I paid $7,550 before taxes and license fees. I bought it from a dealer. I paid a little more than I would have liked but it truly looks like a brand new car still. The previous 1 owner took exceptional care of it. Even the interior looks brand new still!

Looks great!... How is the ride with the H&R/KYB as compared to stock springs and struts?
How is the handling? Floatiness is gone? I am considering doing this to my 2000 LS400 so you opinion is much appreciated.
Thanks

The handling has been improved. The ride seems to be a little bit firmer but not harsh at all. I was hoping for a more firmer ride after the spring and strut install but their is still a slight floatiness/ boat feel. I have had previous cars that I Iowered and were very firm but the LS400 with H&R springs firmed it up slightly and not harsh. I haven't bottomed out at all when driving with my wife and two young kids riding along. I haven't had adult passenger in the rear seat yet so I'm not sure how drastic the ride would be with a full load.

Socalbobby welcome, nice ride if I do say so myself. The area looks really familiar, I'm over in MV. If you're close I might be able to lend a hand if you need one with your future repairs and upgrades.

Yikes! I'm afraid it sounds like you'd be much more of a help to me than I would be to you. Anyway, great car and I look forward to its progression
