New to the lexus LS400 world
I just bought my first 1997 Lexus LS400 and im looking to buy new rims for it? Does anyone know the Lexus OEM wheels that will fit it. I would like to put chrome ones on it. Will anyone be interested in the old ones? Another question I have is that I think I over paid for the car but I just loved the look of the LS400. I was told they are going for well over book value in great condition. I just bought it on ebay for $11,300 and it has 56,000 miles and garage kept. Do you think that's about right??

Looks very clean. Hope all the maintenance is up to date. Should last you many many years.
I think LS wheels up to 2007 will fit this model too. The 5 point chrome ones are a very popular style.

Welcome to Club Lexus and congrats on a really nice looking LS. 
+1 on the maintenance. With such low miles, I would have some concerns about the timing belt and aging fluids. The FAQ is a good primer on the many aspects and discussions about this car.

It is not everyday that a clean 97 with only 56k miles comes along. Could you have found one cheaper? Probably. But as long as you are happy and it runs well, enjoy it. It is one of the finest automobiles out there and will give you years of enjoyment.

yes all the maintenance is up to date. 2 owner Florida car serviced at lexus with records and clean car fax. timing belt replaced at 42,000 miles in 2008. As far as rims go I would like the LS430 5 or 6 spoke. Will they work?

I think the price was fair assuming the car is an honest 56k origional miles car. Thats an amazing find! sure thats a lot of cash, but man, that is one heck of a clean car! I, personally, would have a look at that timing belt, but thats just me being ocd. I really think that these cars are increasing in value ever so slightly as the years roll on by and their legacy, so to speak, becomes greater.
Great find, such a good example of an LS! I'd love to see an example of a first gen (89-94) in similar condition!

I'd pay that for a super low mile correct color with zero imperfections loaded 1st gen, it would need to be similar to what you got condition wise but lower miles. Yours was a bit pricey but worth it condition wise. I think I'd keep that in a garage, on the road it will get rock chips in paint, parking lot dings and all the other inconsiderate people problems that are the norm.
