Default Celsior auctions in Japan

Up for auction...just thought it is interesting to see the Toyota side of Lexus. Did you see how the NAV looks like? Too bad, we can't get any of this stuff.

Wow, even the 3rd gen has the rear seat stereo controls

Now, this one looked just like my old "whitels". Surprised NAV was available in Japan for the 2nd gen!

There are so many different options in the celsiors when you compare them to their LS400 counterparts.

Although posting e-bay links are not allowed. We shall pass on this one since it is in Japanese and I doubt any Clublexus members would get into a bidding war over these lol..

Default Good decision

Hi WHITELS

That is great - glad this post wasn't banned, so interesting to see these babies in the land of their birth !

Nice to see what the "bulk standard" Celsior/Lex looks like in the land of the rising sun, along with a couple of heavily modified cars.

From a Brits point of view, good to see right hand drive cars as well !!!

Great post !!!

japanese Navigation is crazy!!! besides the basic directions, it tells you up to date (realtime) info on road construction, congestion, parking tips, and reminds you to turn your headlights on at night. I went driving w/ my cousin in japan, and after a few hours of driving, the darn talking navigation voice told us to take a break to relieve fatigue!!!!!!!!! and just about EVERYONE has NAV in japan, it's almost not a luxury there.

whitels: i believe that box sticking out on the passenger side is something in the range of a genuine toyota trash box.

What's the deal with those spoilers on the 1st generation Celsiors? They look like they were original equipment since they blended into the rear quarterpanels. Was that part of some sport package they offer in Japan? Just wondering

Excellent post.
It makes me remember my old days when I had Toyota Crown...
When I was in Russia it was very easy to buy any japanese model if you have enough money.

And I still remember 2 rules:
1) Japan will always have the best technology.
2) Japan will never let it out unless it's 1-2 years old.

BTW cloth trim is a very popular in Japan. I don't know why actually...

I thought long and hard about posting this auction site. But since it does not really do us any good except to browse and look I thought I might as well just do it. Besides, there's the moderator who can make the final decision

Default Window Wind/Rain Defelctors

In one of the pix, there is a 20 with wind/rain deflectors on all 4 doors. Is that something that we can get here in the US also ? If so, where ?

Hey Samurai, you guys in Japan have tons of nice parts. Do you know you can sell on Ebay?

Moderator, can international sellers sell on CL classifieds?

Yes I know I can and my woman can do it for me on the one in Japan too.

Im not into making money or messing with it that way.

I will help someone out if they want something from here. I have to be able to mail it not big like an Aero kit. If its to big they need to go thru an importer.

If they still follow the ClubLexus Classifieds rules, I don't see why not.

Hmm, well it looks to be a legit left-hand drive LS400, but those guys in Japan can convert something to anything (so you never know). But honestly, I never knew a VIP Maroon Celsior/LS400 would look that good. I mean, that Celsior/LS400 has an okay-looking kit and wheels, but it gave me an idea of how other maroon LS400's would look like with clean-looking kits.

This would have shocked me about a 1 or 2 ago but after findind out that the cars in japan are so much better than here it just comes at no surprise.

I mean I thought the LS and SC were loaded with so much cool stuff no other cars had at the time but after a couple months of researching SCs I found out that the Toyota Soarer in japan blew away the SC here. I mean it was loaded with things people here probably never even heard of yet. A navi with rearview camera, power folding mirrors, read seat adjustable head rests, air suspension, 4wheel steering and the list just goes on. None of those things even came to US shores. I mean comeon they have navigation for years but the USDM SC never even get anything close to it.

Who even knew the RX came with E-shift there or a 3-D nav system. I wonder what the LX or GX came with there.

Toyota is truly the best car maker ever and is far above any other manufacturer. Their innovations are miles ahead of anyone else.

Nice Celsiors tho. Only wish I could have a loaded JDM LS or SC. Thanx for the links

Cool

I know this doesn't sound right, but to many Japanese car buyers, cloth seat are more desirable than leather..............

Even though I love my LS, I know it is not the flagship car for Toyota. The best sedan they make is the Century, comes with a 5.0L V12 and every imaginable gizmos known to mankind.

It costs around 10 million yen in Japan......while our beloved LS costs a "mere" 7 million yen.

http://www.toyota.co.jp/Showroom/All...ury/index.html

After seeing the Century........I still prefer my LS........
