Hey guys, I replaced the tps on my car because it threw tps codes and it fixed the hesitation that was going on. I also installed a new thermostat (old one was stuck open). Although I have noticed an improvement in mpg since replacing the thermostat, my car sometimes still idles around 800rpm in drive and 1200-1300 rpm in park, even when the car is warm. Other times it behaves correctly and idles at 650rpm. Only thing I can think of is the tps is aftermarket and functions correctly except the IDL an E2 terminals have infinite resistance at all times. Which means I can’t set the tps “correctly” would this be affecting my mpg? What else could be the problem?
