The hood won't open so the latch is most likely broken .

need an under-carpet shot of the metal chassis structure itself. the carpeted trunk will never tell you anything.

sorry to see! looks a little bowed but it will be the insurance's call. depending on the whole assessment, it could still be totaled. i hope not!
