Default Who sayis there are no great 2000 LS400's left? Right here!

My friend who bought my 1990 LS400 from me in 2000 LS400 earlier this year has decided to sell the 2000 LS400 Platinum Series and buy something else. It is offered on Kansas City Craig's List: https://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/4667388466.html

It really is a super nice 2000 LS400 Platinum Series with nearly perfect chrome Platinum Series/2001 LS430 wheels. The Blizzak WS70 tires with lots of tread left on extra wheels will come in handy in a couple of months for those in the snow belt.

I see lots of comments about how hard it is to find a nice 98-00 LS400. Well here is one with complete service and repair records from day 1. It had only Mobil 1 synthetic every 5000 miles from when I purchased it in 2003 at 38,000 miles until I sold it at 179,xxx miles in April.

The Kenwood I had professionally installed and which uses the Nakamichi amplifier makes the car seem much more modern. The Pandora interface works flawlessly and people couldn't tell I was on hands-free when I used the phone feature.

Best regards to all of you in the future. (I'm still enjoying my Sienna van - just carted a $#!+ load of building materials home from Lowes in it.)

Jim...you're...alive!? (and looking more like Billy Bob Thornton each day). Welcome back.
My wife would NEVER let me cart $#!+ in her Sienna. That's what the Tundra is for! ;-)

Alive for now, Randy. You need this 2000 to replace that 99 you had that got crashed. It's a "short" drive from Northern Indiana to here. I saw and sat in "my" 2000 a couple of weeks ago for the first time since I sold it in April - it's still awesome.

That is an amazing car, you can sure spend quite a bit more $ on a much worse car from a car lot. Around here luxury cars depreciate as fast as an American citizens privacy/rights but that's still a whole lot of car for the money.

For those who don't remember my thread about it, this is one horny LS400 - has four LS400 horns with the two extra being from my old 90 and driven through an extra relay so that the horn circuit can't be overloaded. It's loud but not (too) obnoxious.

Very nice!!!

Its not applicable in the USA, but you can import a 15yr old Celsior from Japan still in super mint condition with very low kms for not bad money.

I've seen grade 4.5 cars (pretty much perfect) with 20,000km on them go for about 7k all in by the time its legal in Canada. I couldnt' afford that much at the time, but I sort of wish I had waited to get a brand new one like that!

Yes, the buyer was from Nebraska, used to have a 98 LS and currently has an 04 LS. My friend said that "my" 2000's maintenance documentation was particularly important to the buyer.
