Default Blower motor / A/C clutch

1998 LS400 - My A/C clutch is failing, but up until today the A/C had been working, just making bearing noise. Today I had the blower motor on just blowing air (not A/C at the time). Hit the A/C button and the blower motor completely quit. Found that the fuse under the dash had blown and replaced it, still no blower. I know there is a relay and I think it is a small black cube in the fuse panel under the hood (marked heater on the panel diagram?). Has anyone heard of a failing A/C clutch taking out the blower motor when the A/C is switched on? What else should I be looking for to just get the blower motor working again? Thx

Thanks for the link, I did search, but kept getting a multitude of similar answers, but not the one you sent me, so I do appreciate your help. I have the same problem as in the link and had the same questions. Much appreciated.
