Default '92 LS400 slow acceleration, running rough

Greetings!

I bought a beautiful '92 LS400 a few days ago for dirt cheap. The problem is that the car seems as if it's running on four cylinders. Idles rough and accelerates rough and extremely slow. No smoke from the exhaust but I noticed a strong smell of unburned gas in the exhaust. I tried pulling the codes but couldn't get anything besides a constant blinking CEL light that gave no code. Car was in neutral, AC off, throttle closed. I'm really hoping the ECU isn't failing. I'm guessing it might be a faulty driver's side ignition coil since the car feels like it's running on four cylinders but I wouldn't wanna splurge and take a hit if it doesn't work. When I ran the car during the day time, I checked the catalytic converters but they weren't glowing red. I tried pulling the plug to the MAF sensor and started the car but the car only ran for ~20 seconds before bogging out and dying. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance for any help it's greatly appreciated!
