Default Trany noise

94 ls400. Has sqeeal I thought was a belt, but discovered it was coming from under the car. Only in neutral and rev up a little. Not there in drive or rev. Any Ideas?

Squeal not good but could be from other belt driven accessories. As for the tranny, what is the condition of the fluid?

fluid is nice a red. I thought the noise was from a belt, but it is not. not really a bad squeal but loud enough. car drives and shifts fine. just odd.

That does not sound good! I would think it would be coming from the front of the engine if it was the pump.

Front transmission pump is hydraulic but when they fail or starve for fluid they often sound like the grinding PS pump. It's time to use extreme care and a very trusted helper, get a tech stethoscope and pinpoint it if possible.

Its hard to hear exactly where from but could it be a heat shield vibrating. I'm new to Lexus but not failed automatics, I have never heard one make that sort of sound before. I have heard torque converters make some strange sounds but this one is new to me.

Motor/trans mounts allowing the engine to twist and touch something under load? Is the video in drive or park/neutral?

If it makes the noise in neutral I don't think the diff would be the problem, or motor/tranny mounts.

i should add that the computer has not thrown any codes. Starting to suspect an accumulator? if you listen to the video you will he the sound when the engine is revved but stops after a few moments at that rpm. im just guessing here i dont know much about ATs. I am learning looking into this though!
